What are storytelling sessions?

They're regular sessions with a twist. Instead of standing around smiling at my camera in boring poses, we're actually going to do something. Run around like kids again. Go somewhere you love. Stay home and make breakfast. Get a little messy. Have an adventure. These sessions are for people who want their photos to actually feel like them.

Maybe you + your fiancé pick up a pizza and head to the beach for your engagement photos. You met at a pizza parlor as teenagers and eating pizza by the water has somehow become your thing. All of a sudden, you're laughing over pizza slices while the sun is going down. Kicking your toesies in the water. Searching for your favorite seashells. Clinking bottles of soda. Listening to your favorite songs on the radio. Forgetting I'm even there.

Maybe your husband plays guitar and your weekend mornings are typically spent cooking breakfast, writing music, humming melodies together. You want photos that actually feel like home, so I literally come to your home one morning. and I become the best fly on your wall. He's writing a song about you in the crumpled old notebook he always grabs. You're looking at him the way they describe in romance novels. Your cat jumps on the couch next to you, joining in on the fun.

You all snuggle for awhile. And I just photograph it.

We can do anything you want to. That's kind of the whole point. Your session doesn't have to look like anyone else's because it isn't about anyone else. It's about YOU. Your favorite places. Your little traditions. The weird things that make you laugh. The way you spend a Sunday morning. The things that feel ordinary now, but might mean everything to you someday.
